What are the difference types search engines? How search engines works and popular search engines across the world.

What are the difference types search engines?
Basically there are three types of search engines:
  1. Crawler-based search engines - Crawler-based search engines use automated software agents called crawlers or bots who visits a Website, read the information on the actual site, site's meta tags as well as follow the links that the site connects to performing indexing on all linked Web sites. The crawler returns all that information back to a central depository, where the data is indexed. The crawler will periodically return to the sites to check for any information that has changed.
  2. Human-powered search engines - Human-powered search engines rely on humans to submit information that is subsequently indexed and cataloged. Only information that is submitted is put into the index.
  3.  Hybrid Search engines – They are a hybrid of the both Crawler-based search engines and Human-powered search engines.
How search engines works?
Search engine is a complex algorithm or a computerized program. They are the key to find particular information on the vast compass of the World Wide Web. Without search engines, it would be virtually impossible to locate anything on the Web without knowing a specific URL. But do you know how search engines work?

How Search Engine Works?

The complex algorithm of search engines use spiders or crawlers or bots who go out hunting websites on internet for their algorithmic search results . These bots or spiders find new websites and pages by following links added on a website. Once a new page is found the bots and spiders reads the pages as well as check images. The entire information related to each page and website is stored in huge online library called as “index”. This indexed data is stored in encoded format to save space. Whenever a user types a search query on search engine search bar. The search engines goes back to its giant index library to fetch the required information. The search engine found millions of matching information, so it uses an algorithm to decide in which order to display results. Everything is ready in less than one second and displayed on SERP(search engine results page). As you all know, content is king! Websites which regularly updated with unique content are given better positions on SERP. Finally the user analyzes the search result and reaches to the website he was looking for.
Google, Yahoo, Bing, Baidu, MSN, Yandex, Naver, etc are the most popular search engines across the world.

Search Engine Optimization(SEO) – Why SEO is important for your website?

The objective of every website owner is to top-list their website, when search engine results are being listed out. As, whenever users enter a query in a search engine and hit 'enter' they get a list of web results that contain that query term. Users normally tend to visit websites that are at the top of this list as they perceive those to be more relevant to the query. And the best way to do this is Search Engine optimization.

Search Engine Optimization is the process of affecting the visibility of a website or a web page in a search engine's "natural" or un-paid ("organic") search results. Search engine optimization is often about making small modifications to parts of your website. When viewed individually, these changes
might seem like incremental improvements, but when combined with other optimizations, they could have a noticeable impact on your site's user experience and performance in organic search results.

SEO is not purchasing the sponsored link through Google Adwords and proclaiming that you have a good ranking on Google. Purchasing paid placements on search engines is a type of Search Engine Marketing (SEM). It's a collection of techniques and practices that allow a site to get more traffic from search engines (Google, Yahoo, Microsoft). SEO can be divided into two main areas: off-page SEO (work that takes place separate from the website) and on-page SEO (website changes to make your website rank better).

Why SEO is Important for your website?
  1. SEO is an abbreviation of Search Engine Optimization. An important aspect of Search Engine Optimization is making your website easy for both users and search engine robots to understand. Although search engines have become increasingly sophisticated, in many ways they still can't see and understand a web page the same way a human does. SEO helps the engines figure out what each page is about, and how it may be useful for users.
  2. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the key tool for the website owners to get more traffic to the website. Optimization of a website is crucial to get traffic and maintain the level over the search engine. The main aim of the search engine optimization is to get more traffic from diverse sources and to get repetitive visitors.
  3. The Results are Low Cost (In Comparison to Adwords and PPC) - Organic listings are essentially free. When you are listed at the top, you don’t need to pay per click or allocate a budget for advertising, one of the main benefits of SEO is that it is the gift that keeps on giving. With a little bit of effort you can watch your website get consistent traffic.
  4. Definite Increase in Traffic
  5. Higher Brand Credibility
  6. Better ROI (Return on Investment) Than Normal Ads
  7. Take Your Business to the Next Level - SEO can bring it thousands upon thousands of visitors to your website a day.
  8. There are millions of websites on the web and it is very difficult to your name out of millions. Especially if your website is new and your product and services are highly competitive. SEO helps you to stand out of millions of other websites.
